The now famous "November Nine" August 20, 2008

There are only nine coveted seats at the finals table of the World Series of Poker. If you have ever fancied being a Poker player this is exactly where you want to be. It's been a long fought battle for these exceptional Poker players who will now share at least one more table when November comes around. Some of them you've undoubtedly heard about while others have seemingly come out of nowhere.

The first seat is occupied by none other than Dennis Phillips. He is looking good with the most chips and looking towards the grand prize. He is also notable for offering to give a percentage of his winnings to a noted Cancer prevention charity.

The second seat belongs to Craig Marquis out of Texas. He got his start playing Poker online and it looks likes it has benefited him very well.

The third, fourth, and fifth seats are occupied by Ylon Schwartz from New York and Scott Montgomery and Darus Suharto, both hailing from Ontario, Canada. Schwartz has been here before, but Suharto and Montgomery are first timers looking for some lightning.

Seat six is occupied by “Chino,” or otherwise known legally as David Rheem. He hails from California and knows what its like to be in the main event.

The seventh chair will be filled with a young Russian player, Ivan Demidov, who now holds the second largest stack of chips putting him a leg up and that might be all he needs to take out Dennis Phillips.

It's going to be tough for the eighth seat, Californian Kelly Kim, but he has been around the WSOP before and might be able to turn his experience into something fantastic.

And finally the ninth seat is graced by the only player from Scandinavia, Peter Eastgate; a very young player with a lot on the line
