Poker for Dummies launched Dec 29, 2008

For all poker novices and gamers that are interested in playing poker or are considering venturing into the world of Texas Hold 'Em, Electronic Arts has come to the rescue with a new poker software game package.

The new poker tutorial sort of game is titled "Poker for Dummies, Featuring Texas Hold 'Em" and is the outcome of a collaborative effort between two well-known enterprises.

Electronic Arts recently teamed up with the company responsible for the Dummies books to create Games for Dummies. As a result of the launch of the new game "Poker for Dummies, Featuring Texas Hold 'Em" rookies and those new to poker will have no excuses.

The first title of the poker games for dummies series has been launched for sale. The new game "Poker for Dummies, Featuring Texas Hold 'Em" is expected to permit those gamers using Personal computers and laptops to eventually become masters of the game of poker. The game works in steps, slowly teaching players everything that they need to know about poker. The game instructs players on poker beginning from poker basics and goes all the way to poker strategies. "Poker for Dummies, Featuring Texas Hold 'Em" also covers poker etiquette. After players are done with the game, there is an additional feature of a quiz that is geared to help players understand whatever they had just learned.

Once players reach the poker table they can move onto the practice mode; the game also offers player tips as play progresses. After this stage is over, players can commence playing poker for real. The title "Poker for Dummies, Featuring Texas Hold 'Em" also provides players with tips on how to play Omaha poker and Seven Card Stud.

The game is rated T for Teen and has been designed to be used on PCs only. To purchase a copy of this game, users will have to pay $20. In the meantime, there are several other games for dummies titles that are in the making.
