Long Line Up of Women's Poker Events Feb 09, 2009

This week has much to offer the ladies of poker. There are several interesting events and tournaments coming up on the poker circuit, meant just for women.

The coming week will see the start of the Oklahoma State Championship of Poker at the Cherokee Casino in Tulsa. At exactly noon on Thursday, February 12, 2009, there is an event for only women with a $300 + 40 buy in. Participants can register online and have up to 00:00 hours on February 12 until online registration closes. There is also the option of live registration at the Cherokee Casino, which can be done on the day of the event.

At the Winter Chill Poker Tournament (part of the High Heels Poker Tour) at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut, women can enter an exclusive event with a $300 buy in. The game will start with each player having 10,000 chips. High Heels players can get special rates on rooms for this tournament, so do try not to miss out on the action.

The next scheduled event of the High Heels Poker Tour is a $5,000 guaranteed tournament with a $150 buy in. Add-ons are available at an extra fee of $10. This event will take place in Hollywood, Florida, at the Mardi Gras festival.

As Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, the Bicycle Casino has come up with an idea to see if love and poker go together. During the Valentine’s Day weekend, women poker players can play poker tourneys and try their hands at luck at the Queen of Hearts Ladies Only tournament at the Bicycle Casino on Sunday, February 15, 2009 at 2 pm.

Women can also look forward to the World Series of Poker Circuit Event at Horseshoe Council Bluffs. There is a $200 + 35buy in event here at on Sunday, February 15, 2009. This ladies only event is scheduled to take place over a period of two days.
