The newest member of the PokerNews group, ChipMeUp, has not been part of the group for very long, but it is already making its presence felt by placing feathers in the PokerNews cap.
ChipMeUp’s objective of getting backers and players together has been very successful, and in the economic climate that is prevalent today, people are appreciating it more and more.
Its performance in recent live and online poker tournaments has been fairly good, and the latest achievement is the Full Tilt Poker Online Poker Series (FTOPS XI) Event #12 sixth place finish by ChipMeUp team member Andrew 'Adgee' Jeffreys. Event #12 was a $1000 + 60 No-Limit Hold'em game. Andrew made $70,090 after staying in the game longer than close to 1600 players, no mean feat. His eventual elimination was because of an Ace-Jack which fell to a rival's King-Queen.
Andrew, who says he "always plays to win", came across ChipMeUp by chance and finds it offers a great opportunity to play in high stakes games such as the FTOPS events. According to Andrew, "The software is amazing and the process is so transparent about how to stake people or apply for stakes, there is no confusion at all. There are a lot of fly-by-night staking services that are unclear about their process but with ChipMeUp you are left feeling very confident about doing business there, which is vital for poker players. I have stakes available for the rest of the FTOPS if anybody wants a piece and will be using ChipMeUp for a long time to come."
Tony G, an experienced member of the ChipMeUp community and Team Captain, PokerNews, is ready to stake players who have the skill but lack the finances to enter the big tournaments. Tony had a 72% stake in Andrew at the FTOPS Event #12 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of taking a good look at Andrew’s playing style. "It was a lot of fun watching this guy play. I didn't see him make any mistakes and this is the kind of player I am looking to stake on ChipMeUp," Said Tony.
Tony invites players in need of a stake to ChipMeUp. "I'm on the lookout for more players like him (Andrew Jeffreys)to give them a shot at the big money, I tend to bring good luck to the players I stake…"
