Bodog Poker Open III to Begin Soon Kicking Off With the "12 Days of Poker" December 15, 2008

Bodog, an established and well known poker portal, casino and sports book site, recently announced that the third Bodog Poker Open is scheduled to take place next year, sometime during spring.

Bodog is also hosting a "12 Days of Poker" promotional tournament which is expected to begin on December 21st of 2008. The "12 Days of Poker" package is a series of 45 tournaments which will give out participation opportunities for the Bodog Poker Open III to the top three finishers of the tourney's Grand Finale. The Grand Finale is scheduled to take place on Thursday, January 15th and will seat the top four players from the "12 Days of Poker" tournaments.

Those players who come in at the fifth through the 100th place from the "12 Days of Poker" tournaments will also be able to compete in the Bodog Poker Open, as they will win seats in the Semi-Final set to take place on Thursday, January 8th, 2009. These 95 players will get a chance to prove their mettle at the Semi-Final, and the top 18 players from the Semi-Final will then move onto the Grand Finale.

Bodog will also randomly select five players who had managed to participate in at least five of the Bodog Poker Open III events. These five lucky players will be awarded free tickets that will take them directly to the final tournament.

The "12 Days of Poker" event is open to players at a $109 buy-in. In addition to this, the event also has a $3,000 added deep stack tournament. The tournament will provide players with 3,000 starting chips, allowing the tourney’s blind levels to last for about 15 minutes each. As part of the promotional package, Bodog is also hosting a $20,000 tournament event with a $109 buy-in. This particular tourney is expected to take place on Sunday, December 21st, 2008. The tournament will begin at 4:00pm Eastern Time, about a couple of hours after the $3,000 added event.
